Sport Mode

Sport Mode launched into Early Access on April 15, 2021 as a VR physics sandbox game. In its first year and a half, Virtuaport released a steady stream of feature updates — Update 2 (May 7, 2021), Update 3 (June 8, 2021), Update 4 (August 24, 2021), Update 5 (January 14, 2022), and Update 6 (December 22, 2022) — adding weapons, maps, tools, modifiers, and gameplay systems at a roughly 2–11 month cadence. The store page continues to promise that "new levels, modes, weapons, tools, props, modifiers, and vehicles will be added over time," making these explicit commitments from the developer. However, since Update 6 on December 22, 2022, there have been no further communications from the developer — no patch notes, no announcements, no devlogs. That silence now spans more than three years (as of June 2026), far beyond the historical update cadence. The game is still purchasable and listed in Early Access, but it is unclear whether active development is continuing or the project has been quietly abandoned.
