Evaluation
Square Heroes launched on April 9, 2015 and received active post-launch support through early 2017. The developer shipped one major update during the initial launch window (version 1.5 on April 20, 2015, adding private games and a free demo), followed by a cluster of bug-fix patches in late April 2015. A second major update arrived on February 25, 2016 (version 1.6), which added cross-platform play with the PlayStation 4 release, Japanese language support, and various gameplay improvements. The final recorded update was a feature patch on January 6, 2017 (version 1.6.2), adding Korean language support and balance tweaks. That January 2017 post is the last official communication from the developer on record. No further updates, announcements, roadmaps, or developer posts have appeared since then. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content, and no season pass or live service structure. With over nine years of silence following a minor patch — and only two major content updates across the game's post-launch life — the evidence strongly indicates the game launched as a complete product and has long since concluded its update cycle.
