Evaluation

Star Wars: Droid Repair Bay is a free, short VR experience created by ILMxLAB as a promotional tie-in to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which was released in theaters in December 2017. The store description explicitly frames it as a movie tie-in and promotional piece ("Powered by Nissan," "See it in theaters December 15th"), making clear it was always intended as a self-contained, finite experience rather than an ongoing game. The developer shipped one small bug-fix patch on December 8, 2017 — two days after launch — and has not communicated anything since. There is no DLC, no roadmap, no announced future content, and no post-launch update pattern of any kind. The game launched as a complete, finished promotional experience and has remained unchanged since that initial patch.

Evidence

Store description frames the experience as a promotional tie-in to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, sponsored by Nissan and tied to the film's December 2017 theatrical release — clearly a finite, self-contained promotional piece.
