Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax launched in November 2015 and received a steady series of post-launch updates. The most significant was the "Stellar Climax" overhaul in September 2016 — a major free update adding a new character, new game modes, visual improvements, and more. In May 2018, the developer shipped the "Strike Update," adding a new game mode, new enemies, new boss music, and new achievements. A companion soundtrack DLC for the Strike Update also released on May 25, 2018.
In December 2017, the developer had announced plans for both the Strike Update (delivered in 2018) and a separate mech-specific challenge DLC. The challenge DLC was never released, and no further mention of it appeared after the Strike Update shipped. By July 2023, Dreamloop's communications to the SGW community were focused entirely on announcing their next game, Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue — and they acknowledged "many years of silence" regarding SGW itself. There have been no updates, patches, or development communications for Stardust Galaxy Warriors since May 2018.
The 2017 promise of a challenge DLC was never fulfilled, but given that nearly eight years have passed since the Strike Update shipped and the developer has publicly moved on to other projects, it is reasonable to conclude that the challenge DLC was quietly abandoned. Both listed DLC items are released. The game launched as a complete experience and received meaningful post-launch content that has since concluded.

- Choose from five unique, badass mechs, each coming with its own special abilities.
- Blue Falcon, the Sniper, uses spears and missile barrages to kill his opposition from afar.
- Red Tiger, the Berserker, goes hog wild with frenzied claw attacks and time altering abilities.
