Starseed Pilgrim

Starseed Pilgrim launched on April 16, 2013 as a complete, self-contained game. In June 2019, developer droqen posted about a potential Unity port and loosely floated ideas like controller support, platform expansion, and possibly a sequel — but framed all of these as speculative ("if I think of anything particularly appropriate and juicy"). No concrete commitments or roadmap were ever published, and none of those plans appear to have materialized. The most recent game-related update was a 64-bit compatibility patch on June 3, 2021, which was purely a technical maintenance fix. In April 2025, droqen posted again — but only to announce an entirely new game, "The End of Gameplay," describing Starseed Pilgrim as a reference point for that new project rather than signaling any work on Starseed Pilgrim itself. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content, and no sustained post-launch content pattern. The game shipped as a finished product and has remained so.
