Starway Fleet launched out of Early Access on August 29, 2017 with its version 1.0 update, which added missions, survival and custom battle modes, VR support, and a new lobby system. The developer noted at launch that they remained "open for bug reports and feature requests" if the game prospered — a conditional, aspirational statement rather than a firm commitment to future content. Two small maintenance patches followed: one on September 8, 2017 (adding targeting options and fixing a tutorial bug) and one on September 26, 2017 (adding French localization and fixing German localization). There have been no developer communications of any kind since September 26, 2017.
