STARWHAL left Early Access and fully launched on September 29, 2014. During Early Access, the developer shipped a steady stream of updates (Beta 2 through Beta 5), and after launch delivered one substantial post-release update — version 1.1.0 on December 16, 2014 — adding new game modes, music tracks, levels, costumes, and multi-language support. The most recent developer communication is a March 21, 2018 announcement promoting their next game, Pizza Titan Ultra, which offered a discount coupon to STARWHAL owners. That post explicitly stated: "After Pizza Titan Ultra we'll be getting back to multiplayer mayhem." However, this statement is now over eight years old with no follow-up, and no further content was ever announced or delivered for STARWHAL. The one released DLC is a soundtrack pack from April 10, 2015. The game's store description presents it as a complete, fully-featured product ("fully loaded release"), referencing the full set of 90+ costumes, 25 arenas, and 4 game modes. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, and no ongoing update cadence after December 2014. The 2018 post about future "multiplayer mayhem" was a vague aspiration attached to a cross-promotion, not a concrete commitment, and it was never followed up on in the years since. Given the complete absence of post-launch content development after December 2014, the single soundtrack DLC with no unreleased items, and the developer having moved on to other projects, STARWHAL is best understood as a complete game.
