Evaluation
Lethal League launched on August 27, 2014 and received a series of post-launch content updates through mid-2016. The notable content additions included a new character (Dice) and new stages and modes in November 2014, followed by further gameplay and feature updates in December 2015 and July 2016. After the Summer 2016 Update on July 5, 2016, developer communication shifted entirely toward the sequel. In September 2017, Team Reptile announced Lethal League Blaze, a full sequel, and in April 2018 they were exploring porting the console version of the original back to Steam to resolve network issues — a maintenance-oriented effort rather than new content. The sequel launched on October 24, 2018. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap or announcement of future content for the original game, and no developer posts suggesting ongoing content development after 2016. The original game appears to have been considered feature-complete once the studio's focus shifted to developing and releasing its successor.
