STAY launched on May 16, 2018 as a complete narrative adventure game. The only DLC ever released is a soundtrack pack, which shipped on the same day as the game itself. There have been no post-launch content updates, no feature patches, and no bug fix posts in the developer's news history. The developer's post-launch communications on the STAY page have been entirely focused on announcing and promoting their next game, Frank and Drake, which launched in July 2023. The July 23, 2023 post explicitly frames Frank and Drake as the studio's next project after STAY, with no mention of any planned additions to STAY itself. STAY appears to have launched as a finished product and has received no post-launch content of any kind. The game is complete as originally shipped.

STAY plays out in real-time, meaning that every minute spent away from the game is a minute Quinn is left alone. Drop out of conversations or leave Quinn to fend for himself for too long and there may be consequences.

Webcams enable you to spy on Quinn, letting you see both his reactions to your comments and his actions while AFK. Pick up on his lies and use that knowledge to your advantage.
