Steep launched on December 2, 2016 and received a substantial post-launch content cycle over several years. The Season Pass and multiple DLC packs were all released by January 2019, with the last paid DLC (Rocket Wings) arriving on January 15, 2019. The game also received the Road to the Olympics expansion in February 2018 and a series of free feature updates through 2018–2019. The developer ran a live seasons system from April 2018 onward, transitioning to monthly cycles in April 2019, with devs expressing commitment to ongoing support at that time. Season 12 launched on November 5, 2019, and the last identifiable developer communication about new content was the Legion Riders Season announcement on April 28, 2020 — a crossover event with Ubisoft's Watch Dogs: Legion. After April 2020, there are no further content announcements, seasonal posts, or developer communications about new content — a silence of over six years as of today (June 15, 2026). The only post-2020 activity is a February 27, 2025 patch that added Steam Achievements, which is a maintenance-level update rather than a content release, and notably the patch removed 6 achievements tied to unavailable DLC to ensure 100% completion is possible — a signal consistent with the game being treated as a finished, legacy product. All 8 DLC items are released. No unreleased DLC exists. The developer has not announced any future content. The sustained seasons/live content cycle clearly wound down after April 2020, and the 2025 achievement patch reinforces that the game is being maintained as a complete legacy title rather than receiving new content.
