Evaluation

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launched on February 2, 2024 as a live-service action shooter with a seasonal content structure. The game delivered four seasons of post-launch content, each introducing new playable characters, Elseworlds, and gear. Season 1 (The Joker, March 28, 2024), Season 2 – Frozen Hearts (Mrs. Freeze, July 25, 2024), Season 3 – Lawless (October 1, 2024), and Season 4 (Deathstroke, December 10, 2024) all shipped as promised. In the Season 4 announcement on December 11, 2024, Rocksteady explicitly stated that Season 4 Episode 8 — scheduled for January 2025 — would be "the last seasonal Episode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League." The developer confirmed that while online features and co-op would remain available after that point, no further seasonal content would follow. The addition of an Offline mode in Season 4 Episode 7 also signals a deliberate effort to preserve the game's content in a playable state without ongoing live-service dependency. With the final episode having shipped in January 2025 and the developer having explicitly closed out the content roadmap, the game is now a complete, finished product. No further content has been announced, and the developer's own words confirm no more is planned.

About this game

From Rocksteady Studios, the creators of the Batman: Arkham series, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a genre-defying third-person action shooter where the ultimate band of misfits must do the impossible to save the world: Kill the Justice League.

Join the newly “recruited” members of Amanda Waller’s infamous Task Force X (aka the Suicide Squad), Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark, as they set out on an impossible mission to Kill the Justice League. Drop into an expansive and dynamic open-world Metropolis ravaged by Brainiac’s invasion and terrorized by the heroes who once protected it.

Each Squad member brings their own traversal mechanics to help them navigate a sprawling and battle-torn Metropolis, combining free-roaming exploration and combat verticality for an unforgettable experience. Players are free to experiment with a variety of different play styles to unleash maximum damage on their enemies. Whether in single player or online with up to three of your friends, players can take on this suicide mission their own way.

Post-launch, players can expect a continuously evolving Metropolis with free new playable villains, environments, weapons, in-game events, and more, all included with purchase of the base game.
