Super Dirt Racers

Super Dirt Racers has been available on Steam in Early Access since February 8, 2021 and remains in that state today. The store description still explicitly labels it an "early access freebie," and the Steam Early Access flag is active. The game has received a handful of updates over the years. Three paid DLC packs were released between April and August 2022, adding expanded content including new tracks, vehicles, and game modes for Windows, Mac, and Linux players. A feature patch on February 13, 2024 noted several additions to both the free Early Access version and the DLC version, including new game modes, camera views, and AI improvements. However, that February 13, 2024 post is the last communication from the developer. There has been no news, patch, or announcement since that date — a silence of over two years as of June 2026. The game has never announced a roadmap to a full 1.0 release, and no such release has occurred. With the game still technically in Early Access and the developer having gone silent for an extended period, it is unclear whether development is continuing or whether the game has quietly been abandoned in its unfinished state.
