Evaluation

Supplice has been in Early Access since April 6, 2023, releasing content in episodic form. Episodes 1 through 4 have all shipped: Episode 1 at launch, Episode 2 in October 2023, Episode 3 on June 27, 2024, and Episode 4 on June 4, 2025. On June 3, 2026, the developer announced an accelerated schedule — Episode 5 targeted for September 2026, and the full 1.0 release (with Episode 6) by the end of 2026. The most recent update on September 18, 2026 delivered a new Episode 5 map along with new weapons and enemies, but also revised the timeline: the remainder of Episode 5 is now expected to be complete in November 2026, and the full 1.0 release with Episode 6 has shifted to early 2027. The developer explained this delay as a deliberate quality-over-quantity decision — Episode 6 will contain one fewer map than earlier episodes so the remaining content can be more carefully crafted. Importantly, Episode 6 will also be one map shorter than originally planned, which the developer cited as a scope adjustment rather than a cut. Development remains active and the developer is communicating regularly. The game is still in Early Access, and two pieces of content remain: the rest of Episode 5 (November 2026) and the 1.0 launch with Episode 6 (early 2027).
Evidence
Developer released a new Episode 5 map and revised the release schedule: Episode 5 completion moved to November 2026, and the full 1.0 release with Episode 6 pushed to early 2027. Developer cited a quality-focused redesign of the endgame as the reason.

About this game

Supplice is everything that you would ever want from a ‘90s-stylized shooter: fast-paced action with big guns and even bigger enemies, wrapped in the most stylish pixel art in this part of the Universe. In other words, if the original DOOM had a hot sister, Supplice would be her.

The story of Supplice will bring you to the far corners of the Universe as humanity has outgrown its cradle. As a part of a terraforming team, it was your job to find and prepare new worlds for colonization. While unleashing bio-mechanical horrors was not on your terraforming to-do list, saving the world will now have to be in your resume.

Every encounter with the mecha-mutant fiends will be a swift and brutal affair. Luckily, you’re an engineer and you’ll have a lot of tools to solve such ‘practical problems’, from industrial drills and flamethrowers to conventional firearms and experimental weaponry.

And if that is not enough, there are always alternative modes. Need someone to cover your back? Change your minigun into a stationary sentry gun! Need some breathing room? Expel flammable gas from your flamethrower and set it aflame for a toasty, enemy-free space!
