Survivor Squad: Gauntlets

Survivor Squad: Gauntlets launched into Early Access in November 2014 and reached its 1.0 release on May 1, 2015. The developer maintained a very active weekly update schedule throughout Early Access and continued post-launch, with the last meaningful feature update (Update #32, adding Steam Workshop support) shipping on July 13, 2015. In a January 6, 2017 post, the developer was explicit about the game's status: after the game failed to find an audience or attract press attention, active development was stopped. The developer stated that "continually updating a game is simply not viable if it never gets attention," confirming that updates had ceased and the game's content cycle was complete. The post announced a price drop to $4.99, effectively marking a farewell to active development. Since that 2017 statement, the developer has moved on to other projects entirely — announcing and releasing Battle Royale Tycoon (December 2018, left Early Access September 2019), teasing Total World Liberation (November 2022), and launching Dinky Guardians (October 2023). None of these posts reference any new content for Survivor Squad: Gauntlets. The sole DLC listed is a minor "Thank You" item released on the same day as the game's launch in November 2015, and there are no unreleased DLC entries. The game shipped as a complete product and the developer has explicitly confirmed no further updates are planned.
