Space Menace launched its full 1.0 release on November 11, 2022. The developer stated at launch that updates would continue "as long as players keep sharing feedback," and the game did receive a steady stream of patches and feature updates throughout 2023 and into early 2024. However, the developer's focus then shifted toward a sequel: Space Menace 2 was announced on August 15, 2024, a demo for the sequel was released on February 21, 2025, and Space Menace 2 v1.0 launched on July 26, 2025. The last update to the original Space Menace was a minor bug-fix patch on May 19, 2025 (v4.1.7). No further updates, announcements, or developer communications about new content for Space Menace have appeared since that date — now more than 16 months ago as of September 2026. With the sequel fully released and no outstanding commitments or announced content for the original game, Space Menace appears to have reached the end of its content lifecycle. The game launched as a complete product and received post-launch improvements and additions, with the final update shipping on May 19, 2025.
