Sword Rogue

Sword Rogue launched on August 5, 2020 as a free-to-play indie roguelike. In the weeks following launch, the developer was quite active, shipping several feature patches (versions 1.1 through 1.2.1) that added new weapons, enemies, skills, and balance changes. The last of these updates was released on October 1, 2020. On April 17, 2021, the developer posted a Tier 1 development status update explicitly stating they had moved on to working on a different game with a group of friends — a puzzle game — and were no longer focusing on Sword Rogue. No further updates of any kind have been posted since that announcement. There are no unreleased DLC, no announced future content, and no indication that development on this game will resume. The developer's own words confirm that active work on Sword Rogue concluded, with the final content update having shipped on October 1, 2020.
