The Swords and Sandals Classic Collection launched on April 18, 2019 as a compilation of five classic S&S games plus two bonus titles. The developer, Oliver Joyce of Whiskeybarrel Studios, has maintained the collection consistently since launch — issuing bug fixes, feature patches, and periodic content additions over the years.
The most recent update came on April 26, 2025, when the developer added a new wave of fan-made mods alongside the announcement of Swords and Sandals III Redux (a standalone remaster being developed separately). In that same post, the developer noted that the mod packs "will be updated in future as more mods appear," explicitly signalling ongoing additions to the Classic Collection. This follows the July 2024 update (version 1.5) which first introduced ten community-made mods and similarly noted they would be expanded over time.
The developer took a creative break from the S&S series starting around mid-2023 to work on a separate project (Gorgon Shield), but returned to active work on S&S content by mid-2024 and remains engaged as of April 2025. The Classic Collection itself is a finished compilation product at its core, but the developer has explicitly committed to continuing to add new mods to it as the community creates them.

Up to four gladiators compete in a variety of minigames, adventures and battles set across an epic eight realms of danger and adventure. Featuring over 40 minigames, local multiplayer action with up to 3 friends and all the gladiatorial action the game series is famous four. It's turn based combat meets Mario Party in Brandor's biggest board game crazy.
Swords and Sandals Crusader
Brandor erupts into chaos and war as the realm's greatest heroes and villains take to the battlefield. Lay siege to castles in the pouring rain or send your cavalry against a horde of skeletons in the heat of the scorching desert. This is a turn based strategy game in the style of Defender of the Crown, featuring army combat and management, a simple RPG progression system and a special 'Survival mode' which pits you against your foes one after the other. Control giant iron robots, fifty foot high demons and great apes and shake the very foundations of Brandor. Put on your sandals again and become the finest crusader in the realm!

Swords and Sandals returns - this time, faster, tougher and tinier! Welcome to S&S MINI FIGHTERS! This was a version of S&S 2 made in 2011 and originally designed for mobile phones, it was renamed and re-released in 2018 as Mini Fighters and featured very fast battles and very small gladiators!
