Syder Arcade

Syder Arcade launched on October 24, 2013 and received its last update — a substantial patch adding a new ship, two challenge levels, and Linux support — on December 23, 2013. After that, the developer went quiet on this title for several years. The developer confirmed in a February 2020 post that they had "abandoned the project" after the initial release period, citing team size constraints, and had only been quietly tidying up the code in spare time. This effectively confirms the original Syder Arcade wrapped up its active development in late 2013. In October 2020, Studio Evil announced that Syder Reloaded — a brand new, heavily upgraded version of the game — was coming to Steam, and on April 9, 2025, that separate title launched. The April 2025 post is explicitly about Syder Reloaded as a distinct product on its own Steam page, not new content for Syder Arcade. With no further content announced for Syder Arcade itself, and the developer's own acknowledgment that the original game was put aside in favor of the new title, Syder Arcade is a complete, finished product.
