Evaluation
Tainted Grail: Conquest launched out of Early Access on May 27, 2021, after about a year of Early Access development. Following launch, the developer shipped a series of meaningful post-launch updates: Patch 1.1 – Shattered Reality (August 19, 2021) added new game modes including Endless Misery, Endless Power, and Events; Patch 1.2 (October 21, 2021) added language support and new cards; and Patch 1.3 (March 22, 2022) expanded to Xbox, Steam Deck, and Linux.
Crucially, on December 21, 2021, the developer explicitly announced they were shifting their team's focus to a new, separate project — Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon — and stated they would not be bringing more content to Conquest beyond a Q1 2022 patch. That Q1 2022 patch was Patch 1.3, delivered on March 22, 2022. No major content updates have been posted for Conquest since then.
The developer's second game, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, launched in Early Access on March 30, 2023, and received major post-launch support in October 2023. A full release of The Fall of Avalon followed on May 24, 2025. This trajectory confirms the team's full attention moved to the new title.
The only DLC listed for Conquest is the official soundtrack, released on October 21, 2021. No unreleased DLC exists. The developer's December 2021 announcement effectively served as a completion statement for Conquest's content roadmap, with Patch 1.3 representing the final promised update. Conquest shipped as a complete, well-supported game and has been in a maintenance-only state since March 2022.
Evidence
Patch 1.3 delivered the promised Q1 2022 update with Xbox, Steam Deck, Linux, and optimization support — fulfilling the final commitment made in December 2021.
Developer explicitly stated they would not bring more content to Conquest in 2021, planned only a Q1 2022 patch, and shifted the team's focus to developing The Fall of Avalon as a separate, larger RPG project.
