Tales & Tactics launched to full 1.0 release on August 15, 2024. Since then, the developer (Table 9 Studio) has maintained a strong and consistent post-launch update cadence across feature patches, balance updates, and major content drops.
On August 6, 2026 — just 8 days before today — the studio shipped its largest post-launch release yet: the "Set 2: World Tour" paid DLC, accompanied by a sweeping base game 2.0 update. The DLC introduces an entirely new unit roster with unique skills and mechanics, a new Knockout Mode, and new table cosmetic variants. The base game update overhauled PVP and added a new Uber Items system. A hotfix followed on August 11, 2026, addressing a slate of bugs introduced by the major update.
This launch is very recent, and the developer is clearly in active post-launch support of the 2.0 update. A Deluxe Edition Bundle has also been created to bundle the base game with the new DLC. Prior to this, the game received substantial content updates throughout 2025 and early 2026, including the large "For The Fans" update in May 2025 and multiple feature patches in early 2026.
The developer has not announced the conclusion of content development. Given the scale of the Set 2 launch and the historically consistent update pattern, further updates — bug fixes at minimum, and likely additional content — are expected.
