Tetris® Forever

Tetris Forever launched on November 12, 2024 as a 40th-anniversary celebration of Tetris, bundling 15+ classic games, documentary content, and the new original game Tetris Time Warp. After launch, Digital Eclipse maintained an active update cadence through early 2025: - November 26, 2024: A hotfix added custom control configurations for all games. - December 20, 2024: The "Welltris Update" added a new playable classic game and control remapping for Tetris Time Warp. The developer stated their goal was to "continue to improve and expand on Tetris Forever with more games and features" and confirmed a larger Tetris Time Warp update was planned for 2025. - January 17, 2025: The "Saving the Saves Update" overhauled the save system and expanded graphics modes. The developer closed with "we are working on even more improvements for Tetris Forever and Tetris Time Warp." - February 26, 2025: The "Super Tetris Time Warp Update" — the largest update — shipped two new classic games, extended single-player levels to 30, added a new multiplayer mechanic, a 40-line challenge mode, and a vastly expanded options menu. That February 26, 2025 update is the last developer communication of any kind in the record. Today is September 17, 2026 — more than 18 months have passed since that final post with no further news, patches, or developer statements. The earlier December 2024 and January 2025 promises of continued expansion and further Tetris Time Warp improvements appear to have been delivered upon by the February 2025 update, as no new commitments were made in that final post and no subsequent communication has followed. The sustained update cadence from November 2024 through February 2025 (roughly monthly) has now been silent for well over a year, far exceeding any reasonable extension of that pattern. The evidence points to development having concluded with the February 26, 2025 update.
