The Dungeon Beneath

The Dungeon Beneath launched on October 23, 2020 and received a consistent stream of major content updates over the following years. Seven major updates were shipped in total: v1.0.6 (February 21, 2021), v1.1.0 "The Illifar Update" (March 19, 2021), v1.2.1 "The Mage Update" (July 10, 2021), v1.3.3 "The Undead Update" (December 18, 2022), v1.4.0 "The Beast Update" (August 27, 2023), v1.5.0 "The Tower Update" (February 18, 2024), and a follow-up v1.5.0.2 patch on February 25, 2024. The Tower Update was described as the studio's "largest yet" and introduced an entirely new game mode, a new keyword system, overleveling, and new localization. The February 25, 2024 patch expanded on it with additional floors, enemies, and new items. Since February 25, 2024, there have been no further developer communications — no announcements, patches, or roadmap posts of any kind. The developer's historical cadence between major updates ranged from a few months to just over a year. The gap since the last post (as of June 25, 2026) now exceeds two years, well beyond the longest gap ever seen in this game's history. No future content has been announced, no DLC is listed on the store, and the developer has not indicated any ongoing development plans. The game appears to have concluded its post-launch content cycle with The Tower Update.
