The Escape: Together

The Escape: Together is a co-op horror game currently in Early Access, developed primarily by a solo developer (Tim, aka chloeprice). Since launching in January 2023, the game has received consistent and substantial updates. Three major content releases have shipped: the Beaver Street House map (June 3, 2023), the Hollowgate Mansion map (August 24, 2025), and the V2.1 Major Update on September 7, 2026 — just three days before today — which added in-game positional voice chat, a fully revamped user interface, persistent lobbies, new camera effects, and fallen teammate inventory access. This most recent update shows the developer is actively engaged and continuing to expand the game. Earlier updates in 2023 and 2024 also teased future features such as a PvP ghost mode, which has not yet been confirmed as shipped. The developer's communications throughout the game's history reflect ongoing enthusiasm and community engagement, with no signals of development slowing or concluding.
