Evaluation

The Evil Within launched on October 13, 2014 and received three story/gameplay DLC packs: The Assignment (March 10, 2015), The Consequence (April 20, 2015), and The Executioner (May 26, 2015). All DLC in the store listing is marked as released, with the last content DLC shipping on May 26, 2015. A soundtrack DLC was added later in February 2020, but that is a non-gameplay addition. Developer communications stopped after December 2014, with only minor launch-window patches (FPS settings, letterbox options, and bug fixes). There have been no announcements of additional content, no roadmap, and no developer statements about future plans. The game launched as a complete single-player experience, its paid story content has fully shipped, and no further content has been communicated in over a decade.
