The Flame in the Flood

The Flame in the Flood launched out of Early Access on February 24, 2016, with the developer explicitly describing it as the game "in its final form." The 1.0 launch post from The Molasses Flood closed with: "we hope you like the game in its final form. We loved making it for you." Following launch, the studio released one small quality-of-life patch in May 2016 (adding a backer-contributed dog named Daisy Belle) and another feature/bug-fix patch in April 2017. Neither patch introduced new story content or signaled ongoing content development. The most recent developer communication about this game was a September 2020 post announcing their next game, Drake Hollow — effectively confirming the studio had moved on. No DLC was ever released, no further content has been announced, and the store description makes no mention of planned additions. The game shipped as a complete, standalone product.
