Evaluation
Deep Sixed launched on February 12, 2018 and received active post-launch support in its first few months. A balance and bug-fix patch (v1.10) arrived on February 15, 2018, followed by a meaningful feature update on April 20, 2018 that added the community-requested "Endless Mode." That April update represents the last piece of new content or functionality added to the game itself.
By January 2019, the developer had shifted focus to their next title, Precipice, announcing it for wishlist and releasing it on May 1, 2019. Neither of those posts mentions any further plans for Deep Sixed — they are promotional announcements for a separate game. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmap commitments, and no developer statements indicating additional content is planned for Deep Sixed.
The store description and game page show no season pass, expansion content, or ongoing content model. The developer has had no communication specifically about Deep Sixed since April 2018, and the studio has since shipped and moved on to another product. Deep Sixed appears to have launched as a complete game and received its final content addition — Endless Mode — in April 2018.
Evidence
v1.20 update added the community-requested Endless Mode — a new game mode with no story or ending, focused on survival and scoring. This is the last known content update to Deep Sixed.
Developer's follow-up game Precipice launched. Deep Sixed is not mentioned. Suggests the studio has fully transitioned to its next project.

About this game
We're not alone here.
Folding space; a technology allowing anyone to travel light-years in mere moments. Quite inconvenient, a secretive corporation holds a monopoly on this technology. This exact corporation started to show an obsessive interest in a large uncharted nebula in a distant arm of the galaxy. Eyebrows were raised all over the galaxy.
You, the Pilot, are working off the remainder of your sentence as an involuntary stellar cartographer for this corporation. Your mission is to map as much as possible and report back with your findings. Turns out the small spacecraft they issued you is...let's call it finicky. And the infantile Artificial Intelligence unit is of no real support either. Good luck out there!
Features
- Explore space in a rust bucket of a spaceship: if something breaks, it'll stay broken until you figure out how to fix it.
- Connect a monster-brain to a computer with some cables and duct-tape.
- Use real-world chemistry to construct obscure chemical compounds.
- While you're busy putting out fires, please don't forget to buy new parts, to continue your assigned mission and if you could also take care of those aliens attacking the lower ring that would be lovely.
- Deep Sixed will push your ability to stay calm under pressure to the limits.
