All 79 DLC items — consisting entirely of costumes, accessories, and consumable item sets — were released on the same day as the game itself, indicating the full content package was available from day one with no post-launch content roadmap.
Post-launch developer communications have been exclusively maintenance-focused: a technical deep-dive before launch (March 20, 2020), two bug-fix patches addressing GPU compatibility and collision issues (February 11, 2024, and December 9, 2024), and two news posts promoting other games in the Trails series (Trails through Daybreak and Trails through Daybreak II). None of these posts announced or hinted at new content for Cold Steel III itself.

Nearly a year and a half has passed since the Erebonian civil war, and much has changed since then. Now graduated from Thors Military Academy, Rean has become an instructor at the Thors Branch Campus, a newly-opened academy that quickly finds itself thrust onto the national stage. It is here that he takes the lead of a brand new Class VII, and must guide a new generation of heroes into an unknown future. Though all is calm now, the nefarious Ouroboros organization continues to weave a dark plot that could engulf the entire continent in war...or perhaps something even more sinister.
