The Light Remake

The Light Remake launched on June 4, 2020 as a complete, self-contained atmospheric first-person adventure with two endings, a bonus post-game unlockable, and an optional soundtrack DLC — all of which released on the same day as the game. The store description and launch post describe a finished, fully-featured product with no mention of post-launch content. The only DLC ever listed (the soundtrack) shipped on release day. Following launch, the developer's attention shifted entirely to a new project, "Hail to the Rainbow," which the developer announced in October 2020 and eventually released in November 2025. Developer communications on this game's Steam page since launch have been almost exclusively about that new project, with no mention of patches, updates, or additional content for The Light Remake. The developer briefly noted in December 2023 that they had "plans to update already released projects" but that current work on the new game was consuming all available time — and there has been no follow-through on that vague remark. The Light Remake launched as a complete package and has received no post-launch content updates. It is a finished product.
