Evaluation

The Liminal Dimension launched on Steam on November 27, 2024 as the developer's 16th game. It received two quick post-launch patches: version 1.0.1 on launch day addressing localization issues, and version 1.0.2 on December 4, 2024 bringing performance improvements. At the time of 1.0.2, the developer noted "future updates will further enhance performance and gameplay," suggesting minor ongoing polish was anticipated. However, there has been no further update or news post specifically for The Liminal Dimension since December 4, 2024. The developer is a solo developer who maintains a full-time job alongside game development. Since the game's last patch, they have launched three additional separate games: HorrorCore: Maze and Pools of Horror (February 14, 2025), Pattern Survivors: Bullet Hell (October 31, 2025), and THE KULKA (December 23, 2025), as well as CHWÆST (February 26, 2026). An overview post from June 26, 2025 discusses upcoming updates across their catalog and mentions a HorrorCore sequel, but makes no reference to new content for The Liminal Dimension. The only DLC listed is the soundtrack, which was released on launch day. No unreleased DLC exists. No roadmap, expansion, or future content has been announced for the game. The post-launch patch activity concluded in early December 2024, and the developer's subsequent communications focus entirely on their other titles. The game launched as a complete, self-contained experience and shows no signs of planned additional content.

About this game

About the Game:

Immerse yourself in the unsettling, surreal reality of “The Liminal Dimension” — a psychological horror that will test the limits of your perception. In this world, there are no cheerful ducks or colorful decorations; only silence, emptiness, and endless loops leading to even more loops.

Your sole objective is to find an escape, but be warned — each turn, each corridor, may seem disturbingly familiar. Is it déjà vu, or something far more sinister? Every decision, every step, brings you closer to a solution… or deeper into this nightmarish dimension.

“The Liminal Dimension” draws inspiration from the latest trends in horror gaming, where liminal spaces become the stage for our deepest fears. As you explore these spaces, you will experience feelings of disorientation, confusion, and perhaps even a terrifying calm.

Key Features:

  • Incredibly Atmospheric: Liminal spaces that teeter on the edge of reality and dream, creating an immersive and eerie environment.

  • Déjà vu Effect: Every loop is slightly different, yet eerily familiar, heightening the sense of unease.

  • Linear Yet Unpredictable Gameplay: Traverse labyrinths where the boundary between past and present blurs, leaving you questioning what’s real.

  • Psychological Horror: Fear doesn't come from running from monsters or jumping scares - but does it really? In "The Liminal Dimension," you'll never be entirely sure if the horrors you fear are just in your head.

  • In Liminal Dimension, reality is not what it seems: During gameplay, you may experience an extraordinary phenomenon—a moment when time and space appear to shift, and your senses enter a state that is difficult to describe in words. One moment, everything feels normal, but suddenly, you'll sense the world around you slowing down, even though nothing has changed...

Will you find your way out, or will you be lost forever in “The Liminal Dimension”?

Add the game to your wishlist now and don’t miss the release of this unique horror experience.
