Evaluation

The Looker launched on June 17, 2022 as a self-contained puzzle game. In the weeks following launch, the developer issued two bug-fix patches (June 21 and June 25, 2022) addressing puzzle readability, save issues, and minor bugs, followed by a more substantial feature update on September 17, 2022 that added MacOS support, subtitles, a new puzzle, and quality-of-life options. That September 2022 patch is the last known developer communication. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content, and no roadmap. The store description presents the game as a complete, self-contained experience with a defined scope (~55 puzzles, ~2 hours). With no content updates or developer communications after September 17, 2022, and no signals of planned additions, the game appears to have launched and been polished as a finished product.
Evidence

About this game

Explore several charmed locations on a mysterious island replete with over 55 creative puzzles. Over an approximately two-hour playing duration, you will face unique challenges, ponderous ideas, and feebly amusing in-jokes.

The Looker is a single-player game that respects you as an intelligent player, and it treats your time as... reasonably valuable (I mean, don't let me pull you off solving the Riemann hypothesis or anything). As such, I will level with you here—not every joke will be a hit, but there is no filler material, the puzzles are fun, and, if you really think about it, aren't the real solutions the, uhh... friends we make along the way?
