The Maker's Eden

The Maker's Eden launched on July 30, 2014 as a 3-act episodic game sold as a complete package. Act 1 shipped at launch, Act 2 was released on February 15, 2016, and Act 3 has been in development ever since — promised as part of the original purchase. The store description still explicitly states that Act 3 is "in development," meaning buyers are purchasing content that has not yet been delivered. The developer was actively communicating about Act 3 progress for years: a September 2016 post described a massively expanded scope of over 900 locations inside a tower setting, and an August 2019 post showed environment artwork and confirmed work was ongoing. However, August 26, 2019 was the last communication from the developer on any channel. There have been no posts, patches, or announcements since that date. Given that Act 3 was promised to all buyers as part of the original purchase price, and the developer has been completely silent since August 26, 2019 — over six years ago — there is significant uncertainty about whether Act 3 will ever be delivered. The store page has not been updated to reflect this situation, and no cancellation or completion announcement has been made.
