The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu launched on July 15, 2026, and ACE Team has been actively communicating with and updating their player base ever since. The team has shipped three post-launch patches in quick succession: Patch 1.01 on July 21, Patch 1.02 on July 29, and Patch 1.03 on August 13, 2026. These patches have added new mechanics (a block ability), quality-of-life improvements, balance changes, and performance fixes, showing a highly engaged development team.
Most importantly, the August 13, 2026 patch notes explicitly state that "a larger patch in the works with some wider content additions planned soon" and promise "there is much more to come for the Mound." This is a direct developer commitment to upcoming content beyond what has already shipped. The launch post on July 15, 2026 also stated that ACE Team looks "forward to continue development" and that "the adventure is only beginning."
All four DLC items listed on the store were released on launch day (July 15, 2026) — these include a free bonus mission, a cosmetic weapon pack, a characters and items pack, and the digital soundtrack — so there are no currently unshipped DLC entries. However, the developer's own words clearly communicate that additional content updates are on the way.

MADNESS SYSTEM AND ALTERED PERCEPTION
Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft‘s oppressive atmospheres, the game features a deep madness system that makes the cursed jungle play with your perception. Unpredictable threats distort your senses, blur the line between reality and illusion, and sow paranoia within your group.
Soon you can no longer trust what you see and what you hear.
AN EXPEDITION INTO THE UNKNOWN
Aboard the galleon, prepare for your next expedition. Sign a contract with the captain to receive gear in exchange for the treasures you bring back, split weapons and equipment among your party, and choose which area of the jungle to explore next. The further you venture, the greater the dangers you will face.
The cursed jungle does not only breed the strangest of creatures. Something is also playing with your mind over there.
IN SEARCH OF THE MOUND
Once on the mainland, you are on your own, relying on spatialized voice chat to coordinate against unpredictable threats and gather what riches you can.
Discover abandoned forts during your expedition and recover their logbooks to unlock them as new starting point for future expeditions.
Venture ever deeper in the cursed jungle in search of The Mound, rumored to hold treasures beyond imagination.
