The Multi-Medium

The Multi-Medium is a self-contained 2D puzzle-platformer that launched on January 20, 2023. The developer, Micah Boursier, shipped a bug-fix patch shortly after launch and then, on June 14, 2023, released the final two supplemental DLC items — an art book and the original soundtrack — alongside another bug-fix update. Both DLC items are released, and neither represents additional gameplay content. Since June 2023, there have been no further updates to The Multi-Medium itself. The developer's subsequent communications have been focused entirely on a new, separate game called Poco, which launched in May 2025. The January 2025 anniversary post and the March and May 2025 Poco announcements all treat The Multi-Medium as a completed work being celebrated rather than a project with ongoing development. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, and no roadmap for the game. The developer has moved on to their next project. The game appears to have shipped as a complete, finished product — 10 worlds, 7 boss fights, and a full narrative — with post-launch activity limited to bug fixes and the supplemental art book and soundtrack. Content development concluded with the June 14, 2023 DLC release.
