In the months following launch, the developer shipped a rapid series of major content updates: Update 1.9 (October 25, 2017) added sandbox mechanic improvements, Update 2.0 (November 19, 2017) introduced a new premium captain and submarine vessel, Update 2.1 (December 8, 2017) added a free singleplayer mini-campaign called "Flintlock of the Damned" with new towns and a new ship, and Update 2.2 (March 26, 2018) added merchant sidequests, a new city, a new premium ship, and Russian voice-over support. After March 26, 2018, the developer went silent on major content for this game for over seven years. The only subsequent developer communication was a minor security patch on October 14, 2025 (Unity security update, version 3.0.6) — a maintenance update with no content additions and no indication of future development plans. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced roadmaps, and no developer statements about upcoming content. The store description describes the game as a complete sandbox experience. The post-launch content burst in 2017–2018 concluded with Update 2.2, and the game has operated as a finished product since then.
