The Sand Man is the second entry in Uri Games' four-part Strange Man series, released on Steam on January 29, 2018. The series concluded with The Hanged Man, which launched on February 27, 2018 and was explicitly described as "the fourth and final title in The Strange Man Series." A bundle containing all four games was created to mark the completion of the series.
The Sand Man itself is a self-contained story — it shipped as a finished game and has never had DLC or expansion content announced or released for it. Post-launch updates have been limited to maintenance patches (bug fixes in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024) and localization additions (Chinese and Korean support added in February 2020). None of these represent new story content.
The most recent developer communication for this game is a minor bug fix patch from May 28, 2024. There is no announced or unreleased content for The Sand Man, and the broader Strange Man series has been complete since early 2018. The game launched as a finished product and has remained so.

In The Sand Man, you play as Sophie Grundler, a girl suffering from Insomnia. Unable to sleep and exhausted, Sophie wanders into town to discover that everyone else has fallen asleep.
After attempting to wake those she knows, the true terror of her reality awakens and she must make the decision to save everyone.
Will she succeed with the exhaustion setting in?
In commemoration of the game's Steam release, achievements, and multi-language localization have been added.
