Evaluation

The Settlers 7: History Edition launched on January 22, 2019 as a modernized re-release of the original game, updated for Windows 10 compatibility. The store description presents it as a complete, packaged product with no mention of post-launch content plans, DLC, or ongoing development. Since launch, Ubisoft Blue Byte posted only two small bug-fix patches in early 2019 addressing multiplayer and compatibility issues, and then one further technical update on September 13, 2022 to add a new Ubisoft Connect installer. No major content updates, expansions, roadmaps, or announcements of future content have ever been made. The developer has not communicated anything since September 13, 2022. This game was released as a finished, standalone product and has received only routine maintenance since then.
