The Signal State launched on September 23, 2021. At launch, the developer announced plans for a level editor workshop and a sandbox mode as post-launch goals. Both were delivered: the Puzzle Workshop arrived on February 10, 2022, and the Sandbox Mode shipped as a free update on August 18, 2022. These two updates represent the full scope of post-launch content the developer committed to.
Since the Sandbox Mode shipped in August 2022, there have been no further feature updates or content announcements — only a security patch in October 2025 to address a Unity engine vulnerability. That patch was purely a maintenance fix with no new content. No roadmap, DLC, or future plans have been communicated since August 2022. There are no unreleased DLC items on the store, and the developer has not indicated any additional content is planned.
The game appears to have reached its intended complete state with the delivery of the Sandbox Mode in August 2022. The security patch in October 2025 shows the developer is still maintaining the game for stability, but there is no signal of new content development.
