The Spy Who Shot Me launched its final 1.0 release on January 29, 2019, after a period in Early Access. On that date, the developer published a post explicitly stating "The latest version on steam is the final release v1.0.0," thanking Early Access players and signaling the end of the game's development journey. The post did include a parenthetical note that if the game sold well enough, they might consider adding more missions and local multiplayer "later this year" — however, the only post-launch major content addition was a free update on August 14, 2019, which added three new missions (Gondola, Cellars, and Archive). This update appears to have fulfilled — or at least addressed — that aspiration. Following that August 2019 update, the developer continued to ship maintenance and quality-of-life patches through at least December 2022 (the most recent news post on record, dated December 18, 2022), addressing bugs, controller support, balancing, and visual improvements. No further major content releases occurred after August 2019, and no new content has been announced. The developer has not posted any updates since December 18, 2022. There are no unreleased DLC items listed on the store, no season passes, and no developer statements promising future content. The game shipped as a complete, self-contained experience and has received no new content since August 2019. The completion date reflects when the last substantive content addition was delivered.
