The Symbiant launched on February 2, 2023 as a complete visual novel. All five DLC items — the adult patch, 18+ artbook & CG pack, soundtrack, achievement guide, and PG-13 artbook & CG pack — were released on or before February 20, 2023, the date the final DLC shipped. No unreleased DLC remains on the store listing. Following launch, HeartCoreDev announced and then released a standalone follow-up game, The Symbiant Re:Union, which came out on January 29, 2024. This is a separate title, not additional content for The Symbiant itself. By April 2024, the studio was already working on yet another new project (later revealed as The Symbiant II, announced February 18, 2025, with a demo expanded in July 2025). Neither of these sequels adds new content to the original game. The developer's post-launch communications have been entirely focused on new, separate projects rather than updates or expansions to The Symbiant. The original game shipped as a self-contained story with its complete DLC suite, and no further content for it has been announced or implied.

SYNOPSIS

In the year 5066, Danya and his alien friend Juniper are manning The Ameretat, a humble spaceship that transports goods across the Milky Way.

After a troubled transport gig that left their beloved ship in need of repair and their bank account empty, the team is offered a generous deal they cannot refuse: transporting a beautiful and mysterious alien who calls himself Brahve.

Sometimes at night, Danya hears strange things from Brahve's room. What could he be hiding in there? And how will it affect the connection that's quickly growing between the two men?
