The Typing of the Dead: Overkill launched on October 29, 2013 and received a steady stream of DLC and updates through early 2015. Five paid DLC packs shipped between November 2013 and March 2014 (Shakespeare, Filth, Love at First Bite, Silver Screen, and Dancing with the Dead), alongside several free word-pack additions including a Football Manager pack and a Sci-Fi pack. The final developer communication was on March 27, 2015, when SEGA announced Custom Dictionary support — a free Steamworks tool allowing players to create their own word lists. All five listed DLC are released, no unreleased DLC exists on the store, and there have been no developer posts, announcements, or new content of any kind since March 27, 2015.
