Evaluation

Thief (2014) launched on February 27, 2014 and received a small wave of DLC around launch, with the last piece — The Bank Heist — releasing on March 7, 2014. All five listed DLC packs are released, and no further DLC or post-launch content updates for this specific game have been announced. The last bug-fix patch for the game itself was in November 2014. The recent activity on this store page relates to entirely separate products in the Thief franchise: Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow (a new VR game developed by Maze Theory and Vertigo Games, released December 4, 2025) and Thief: The Dark Project Remastered (a remaster of the 1998 original, announced June 7, 2026 by Nightdive Studios). These announcements represent new standalone titles in the franchise, not additions to Thief (2014). Similarly, the graphic novel Thief: Pulse of Promise announced on June 24, 2026 is a licensed tie-in product, not game content for this title. Thief (2014) itself launched as a complete, self-contained experience. All DLC shipped within the first ten days of release, and no further content has been added or announced for this game in the more than twelve years since launch.

About this game

Garrett, the Master Thief, steps out of the shadows into the City. In this treacherous place, where the Baron’s Watch spreads a rising tide of fear and oppression, his skills are the only things he can trust. Even the most cautious citizens and their best-guarded possessions are not safe from his reach.

As an uprising emerges, Garrett finds himself entangled in growing layers of conflict. Lead by Orion, the voice of the people, the tyrannized citizens will do everything they can to claim back the City from the Baron’s grasp. The revolution is inevitable. If Garrett doesn’t get involved, the streets will run red with blood and the City will tear itself apart.

Garrett never paid the price for anything… until now.
