BioShock 2 Remastered launched on September 15, 2016 as part of BioShock: The Collection, bundling all previously released content including the Minerva's Den expansion in its remastered form. All DLC shipped on launch day — there is nothing unreleased. Following launch, 2K released several patches through December 2017 addressing technical issues such as mouse handling, graphics options, crashes, and ultrawide support. A quality-of-life update in September 2022 added launcher integration, and a November 2024 update removed the 2K launcher entirely to simplify access. None of these post-launch updates introduced new gameplay content — they were maintenance and infrastructure changes. No new story content, expansions, or gameplay additions have been announced or released since the game launched in 2016. The game shipped as a complete, self-contained remaster of a previously finished title, and there is no indication that 2K or 2K Marin has ever planned post-launch content beyond the technical patches already delivered.
