Those Who Rule

Those Who Rule launched on January 27, 2025 after over four years of development. Following launch, the developer (solo dev Eldin Turulja) delivered a steady stream of post-launch content: a major content update on April 4, 2025 (new characters, community-driven weapons, supports, and elite abilities), a Brutal difficulty mode on June 7, 2025, a balancing patch on June 26, 2025, mod support on July 22, 2025, and a final content drop on September 27, 2025 (new SS rank weapons and community Easter egg characters). In the September 27 patch notes, the developer explicitly stated "I know I said I was likely done with content updates" before delivering that last batch — signaling this was the concluding burst of post-launch support. On March 9, 2026, the developer formally announced that their focus had shifted entirely to a sequel, Those Who Rule 2, describing the year since launch as a period of gathering feedback to inform the next game. A final bug-fix patch on April 14, 2026 confirmed this direction, with the developer stating they were wrapping up minor fixes "before going full steam ahead on game 2" and celebrating Those Who Rule 2 approaching 10,000 wishlists. No further content for the original game has been announced, and no unreleased DLC exists on the store. The game is complete. All planned post-launch content has shipped, and the developer has publicly moved on to the sequel. The September 27, 2025 patch represents the final content addition to the game.
