Three Finger Battle Arena entered Steam Early Access on February 26, 2022. In the months following launch, the solo developer (Joseph Maltby) was actively updating the game, shipping new features every few weeks: new colors and skins in March 2022, text chat, new maps, a Patreon cosmetic system, powerups, and eventually a new King of the Hill game mode with four maps in November 2022. In that November 2022 post, the developer explicitly stated "This is the first of more updates to come," signaling intent to continue development. However, that November 19, 2022 post was the last official communication from the developer. No further updates, patches, announcements, or developer posts have appeared since then. The game remains in Early Access — explicitly marked by Steam as an unfinished product — with no 1.0 release announced or delivered. The store description still references game modes as "growing," and the developer's own stated plans for continued updates have not been followed through on publicly. With no developer communication since November 19, 2022, there is genuine uncertainty about whether this Early Access game will ever reach its completed state.
