Chaotic Conflicts

Chaotic Conflicts launched on December 7, 2024 and has received a steady stream of updates from its solo developer (Steampunk) since then. Six major content releases have shipped: a new map update (December 14, 2024), the Equipment Update adding grenades and stims (February 8, 2025), a map remake update (March 24, 2025), and additional updates culminating in the 1.6.0 Mini Update on June 9, 2026. This represents an active and sustained post-launch development pattern. On September 14, 2025, the developer posted a candid status update acknowledging a period of slower activity due to burnout and personal life demands. They outlined a major overhaul update focused on performance and movement improvements, and stated: "As for the future of CC after this update, I might make a few more updates but probably nothing major." That large overhaul was subsequently delivered across the December 2025 movement update (1.5.0) and continued into 2026. The most recent post on June 9, 2026 shows the developer is still actively shipping updates. The September 2025 statement suggesting post-overhaul updates would be limited was followed by continued releases, and the developer has not announced that development is complete. The game is still receiving updates as recently as June 2026.
