Thunder Helix entered Steam Early Access on March 21, 2024, and the solo developer has maintained a consistent update cadence ever since. Since launch, five major scenario/content updates have shipped: "Tornado!" (July 1, 2024), "Crash Rescue" (July 19, 2024), "Alpha Strike" (September 25, 2024), "Supply Drop" (February 10, 2026), and "Special Acquisitions" (July 6, 2026). Alongside those, the developer has released numerous feature patches adding new vehicles, display modes, usability improvements, Steam Deck support, and controller enhancements. The most recent update arrived on July 6, 2026 — just seven weeks before today — continuing a pattern of releases roughly every 1–5 months. The game remains in Early Access with no announcements about approaching completion or a 1.0 release target.
