Evaluation
Tinertia launched on September 3, 2015 and received a solid run of post-launch updates over the following years. The developer shipped a major engine and graphics overhaul in January 2017 (v2.0.0), followed by Gauntlet Mode and unlockable skins in March 2017, and then full VR support in June 2017. A VR improvement patch arrived on September 26, 2019, which is the last recorded developer communication. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content, and no developer roadmap or statement indicating further updates are planned. The 2019 VR patch referenced "more VR controller support coming in the next update," but no such follow-up update ever appeared — and with no developer communication since September 26, 2019, that promise was not fulfilled. Given the more than six years of silence since that final patch, the game appears to have concluded its update cycle. The store description reflects the current, fully-featured game with all shipped content intact. There is no indication of studio distress — the developer resolved an earlier publisher conflict in mid-2016 and continued development normally — but the pattern of updates simply tapered off after 2019.
Evidence
VR support improvement patch released, adding Windows Mixed Reality and Oculus Touch controller support. Mentioned more VR controller support coming in a future update — but no such update was ever released. This is the last developer communication on record.
Full VR support launched for HTC Vive and Oculus headsets, completing the VR feature set promised in earlier announcements.
