Touch Some Grass launched on April 11, 2022 and received a flurry of updates in its first two months. Three major content updates shipped in quick succession: the "Left Hand" update (April 15, 2022), the "Control" update with controller support (April 27, 2022), and the large "Gameplay" update (June 8, 2022) which added the Survival game mode, an experience and level system, over 100 unlockable skins, new hand options, and a collection manager.
At the end of that June 8, 2022 post, the developer explicitly stated: "This huge-mongous update marks the end of major development initiatives for Touch Some Grass... at least in the short-term. Essentially, any future updates during the next couple of months will be devoted to patching any errors, along with general maintenance. In the meantime, I will be focusing my attention on other endeavors... More specifically, I will be working on a different, more 'traditional' video game."
Following that, only one more post appeared — a September 19, 2022 patch (v0.3.1) addressing a graphics bug for integrated GPUs and a Unity engine update — consistent with the promised maintenance-only posture. There have been no developer communications since September 19, 2022, and no announcements of future content. The game launched as a deliberately small novelty title, and the developer has clearly moved on to other projects. The content of the game is complete.

I complained on the internet, and someone told me to go touch some grass. I went outside, but the graphics were terrible, and way too bright. So I went back inside and made this game. Now I can touch grass whenever I want, and if people tell me to go touch grass, I can prove that I already did - because I have an achievement that says so.
