The developer, Mutant Entertainment Studios, explicitly announced the end of development for this game on February 15, 2020, in a post titled "The Great Uncensoring." In that post, they stated it was "the last major update" for I Can't Believe It's Not Gambling, reset the game to its default visual state, and confirmed the team had moved on entirely — first to the sequel (I Can't Believe It's Not Gambling 2K, which had already launched in December 2019) and then to a new project called Kaiju Fishing. No further content, patches, or communications about this game have appeared since that February 2020 post. The game is complete as of February 15, 2020.
