Touhou Endless Dream launched in Steam Early Access in October 2020 and graduated to its full 1.0 release on October 29, 2021. The 1.0 launch post (NEWS-1) explicitly announced "No more early access! The full version is out!" and delivered the final content commitments that had been previewed during Early Access — a new hidden ending, a high-difficulty boss, and major boss remakes. During the Early Access period (October 2020 through October 2021), the developer was very active, shipping new playable characters (Sakuya, Youmu, Suika, Aya), new items, new NPCs, boss overhauls, and multiple feature patches roughly every 1–2 months. All content teased in the October 2020 roadmap post (NEWS-2) and the December 2020 teaser (NEWS-10) was plausibly delivered through subsequent updates culminating in the 1.0 release. The 1.0 launch on November 1, 2021 is the last developer communication on record. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no post-1.0 roadmap, and no developer statements indicating further content is planned. The store description still references the Early Access testing environment in its text, but this appears to be outdated boilerplate — the Steam Early Access flag is not set, and the 1.0 launch post clearly declared the full version complete. With only one major content milestone logged post-launch (the 1.0 release itself) and no subsequent developer activity, the game appears to have shipped as a complete product at 1.0 with no post-launch content cycle.

Welcome to 《Touhou Endless Dream》

Touhou Endless Dream is a 2D top-down bullet hell shooter game that contains Roguelike or u can say Rogue-lite elements. Players can utilize characters with different abilities, collect and assemble powerful items, and dance and weave through an unending barrage of bullets, to save both yourself and Gensokyo from the darkness that is engulfing everything.

Touhou Endless Dream features random generation which means no two playthroughs are the same. Every restart will bring forth a new experience in which you will encounter different enemies, bosses, and collect different weapons and items in which you can use to make different builds and experiences. Throughout the course of the game, the map will be constantly consumed by black holes so plot your path, light your torches, and find a way to resist the all-consuming darkness.
